We are looking for a passionate, driven, and highly motivated Automation / Mechatronics / Robotics Engineer. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing automated systems for manufacturing and production environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in robotics integration, PLC programming, and mechatronic systems, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement automation systems to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.

  • Program and configure PLCs, human–machine interfaces, motion controllers, and industrial robots.

  • Integrate sensors, actuators, control systems, and vision systems for seamless integration.

  • Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, and optimisation of control systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional design teams (mechanical, electrical, software, production) for project execution.

  • Perform system testing, validation, and documentation for automation projects.

  • Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automation equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.

  • Continuously research and adopt emerging automation and robotics technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Robotics, Embedded Systems, or related fields.

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in automation/mechatronics projects.

  • Good understanding of mechatronic systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical control systems.

  • Experience in industrial sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and servo/motion control.

  • Proficiency in PLC programming & SCADA (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, or similar).

  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

  • Knowledge of safety standards (ISO, CE, IEC, OSHA) related to robotics and automation.

  • Willingness to learn, explore, and passion for hands-on work and automation.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment and effectively support the team.

  • Proactively identify and propose solutions to technical challenges.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and curiosity to tinker with hardware.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in PLC programming & SCADA systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, or similar).

  • Experience in robotics integration and mechatronic systems.

  • Expertise in industrial sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and servo/motion control.

  • Knowledge of machine vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, OpenCV).

  • Ability to interpret and work with electrical and mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

  • Hands-on with robotics and automation equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance.

  • Familiarity with safety standards and compliance regulations (ISO, CE, IEC, OSHA).

  • Knowledge of Python, C/C++, or MATLAB for PC-based control interface (preferred).

  • Exposure to IoT, Industry 4.0, and ROS (Robot Operating System) (preferred).

  • Familiarity with CAD or mechanical integration workflows (preferred).

  • Hands-on with additive manufacturing, cobots, or mobile robots (AMRs/AGVs) (preferred).
